Our Values
Caring: We work with people who are re-evaluating their lives and their most precious possessions. We’re honoured guests participating in a person’s life during a time of transition. We come with a caring heart and a listening ear. We are sensitive and careful with every person and everything.
Calm: Change can be confusing and we are calm in the face of decision making and uncertainty. We are quietly confident as we calmly sort lifetimes of stuff into organized lists and help people make decisions. We deliver peace of mind in times of transition.
Organised: We help people with a lifetime of memories contained in things, mementoes and memories. Gentle assistance and smart technology combine to sort, sift and make sense of value, sentiment and help families decide on distribution, recycling, repurposing or disposal.
Easy: What overwhelms one person and confuses the family, is our happy place. We make sorting it out easy for everyone. We list and categorize, decide and strategize. We take complicated clutter and make it stand in straight lines and get it organised with ease.
Family: We become like family as we carefully, calmly move through a person’s life of things. We respect and involve family, being gentle with their quirks and encouraging their involvement. We get family. We facilitate between family and client with reassurance and caring.

Our Sarah
Sarah Crewdson, Director of The Bear that Cares, established the business in 2019 after finishing up an 11 career as a Business Relocation manager. Sarah has a passion for helping others and believes her extensive experience with auditing and relocating large Government agencies will translate well for people and families wanting to downsize themselves and loved ones.
After Sarah’s grandmother passed away, Sarah’s mother, along with Sarah, cleaned out her house, with various family members flying down at times to sort through the contents. Reflecting on this, Sarah believes she can streamline this process to take out the stress before the unmentionable happens to our loved ones.
The team at the Bear that Cares specialises in assisting families and elderly transition into retirement villages/nursing homes/over 50’s communities etc with a focus on
